On 1 October 2020, I successfully presented and defended my Habilitationschrift and was awarded the Venia docendi for English linguistics at the Department of English and American Studies at the Faculty of Philological and Cultural Studies of the University of Vienna. The title of my Habilitationschrift is "Spoken interaction and emergent linguistic practices: English as a lingua franca and Transient International Groups".
