On 24 Nov 2021, I will be giving an invited talk entitled "From inter- to transcultural: Implications for methodology in pragmatics and ELF research" at the Centre for Global Englishes at the University of Southampton.
On 9 Nov 2021, I will be giving an invited online guest lecture in Prof. Miriam Locher's MA research seminar on English as a lingua franca at the University of Basel. The title of my talk is "Creativity and emergent multilingual practices in ELF interactions: Transient International Groups (TIGs) in VOICE".
On 28 Oct 2021, I will be a plenary speaker at the International Symposium on ELF Emergence held virtually at La Sapienza University in Rome from 27 to 29 Oct 2021. The title of my plenary talk is "ELF and beyond: Describing emergent practices and Transient International Groups".
On 23 Sept 2021, the VOICE CLARIAH team celebrated the open-access launch of the new user interface of VOICE in a virtual release event. Details of the VOICE CLARIAH project, the release event and access to VOICE 3.0 Online are available at https://voice.acdh.oeaw.ac.at.
On 8 Sept 2021, I will be giving a talk on TIGs and transient language contact in ELF interactions at LCTG5 (5th Conference on Language Contact in Times of Globalization). My talk will be concerned with code-switching, multilingual practices and the emergence of situational etiquettes.
I will be giving a talk on Transient International Groups in professional contexts at the AILA 2021 World Congress and a talk on the new VOICE 3.0 Online web interface (jointly with Ruth Osimk-Teasdale) at the 42nd ICAME Conference.

On 1 July 2021, I participated in a panel on 'Diachronic pragmatics: New perspectives on spoken English from the twentieth century to today' convened by Elisabeth Reber (Univ. of Heidelberg/ Univ. of Würzburg) and Andreas Jucker (Univ. of Zürich) at the 17th International Pragmatics Conference (IPrA). My talk examined emergent pragmatic conventions, specifically inclusive vs. exclusive multilingual practices, in three Transient International Groups.
